Using Technology to Motivate and Engage Students: Blogs & E-mail in the Classroom

Overview:
This research is focused upon how the use of technology, specifically, student blogs and e-mail, helps to motivate and engage students in the Art classroom. Students created blogs to use as a vehicle to document their own artwork and reflective writing throughout the school year. In addition, I set up a mail list on my school e-mail account at the beginning of the year to communicate with students on a variety of levels and for different purposes. Throughout the research, I explain the process, analyze the data, and include an action plan to further the development of these ideas and concepts. Read the full paper here.
